Water injection management using capacitance resistance method and Hall plot

Abstract

In waterflooding operation, the surveillance and evaluation of injection well performance are very important to ensure optimum oil recovery. Loss in injectivity can cause several problems and will give a bad impact on both surface and subsurface facilities. In addition, the incorrect flow of pumping causes early flooding in the production wells, affecting oil recovery. This article introduces the management programme of water injection wells using capacitance resistance model and Hall plot to minimise these complications.
