Abstract

This paper presents the results of an experimental study on processing Murban crude oil at Dung Quat Refinery. The study aims to evaluate the influence of sulfur content in input crude oil on the quality of refined products, the effectiveness of using DeSOx additives at the RFCC (residue fluids catalyst cracking) unit and the operational efficiency of upgraded sulfur treatment units such as ARU (amine regeneration unit) and SRU2 (sulfur recovery unit). The experimental data obtained are the basis for the Refinery to further optimize the blending of raw materials, control product quality, and manage emissions, thereby ensuring economic and technical efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts when aiming to process high-sulfur crude oils.
