Digital transformation: Nature, practice and application
Abstract
This article briefly introduces what digital transformation is and how to differentiate it from digitisation and digitalisation/digitalised applications as well as the relationship between them. An emphasis is placed on digital transformation in the petroleum industry and energy transition with some suggestions for research and education in the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) and the Petrovietnam University (PVU) in the field of exploration of oil and gas as well as new energy resources.
