Research and finalisation of technology and procedure for manufacturing sacrificial anode meeting international quality standard
Abstract
With a casting temperature of 450oC, using a medium frequency induction furnace, obtained zinc anodes have a high quality, homogeneous structure and stable manufacture procedure. The electrochemical capacity of anode is higher than 780 Ah/kg and the close potential is more negative than -1.0V vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode. The electrochemical characteristics and alloy components satisfy the strictest requirements for zinc sacrificial anode. The Vietnam Petroleum Institute’s sacrificial anode product has been certified by the international accreditation organisation DNV-GL to conform with DNV-RP-B401 standard and its sacrificial anode manufacture procedure has been assessed by Quacert to meet the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
